What are BG Products?
BG Products makes maintenance chemicals and fluids for cars and trucks. The line includes fuel system cleaners, engine oil additives, transmission fluids, cooling system products and driveline fluids. Each product is made for a specific job. That is why a technician should look at your vehicle first and pick the treatment that fits what it needs.
How does carbon buildup hurt engine performance?
As your engine runs, carbon, varnish and other deposits slowly build up on fuel injectors and intake valves. Over time these deposits can:
- Disturb the spray pattern of the fuel injectors
- Upset the air-fuel mix the engine needs to burn fuel cleanly
- Cause pinging or knocking sounds under load
- Lead to rough idle, hesitation and weaker acceleration
- Lower your fuel economy
How do BG fuel system cleaners work?
BG fuel system cleaners are designed to remove carbon deposits, varnish and other contaminants from fuel injectors and intake valves. One example is BG 44K Fuel System Cleaner, which is made to clean the fuel system and help restore lost power and fuel efficiency. When the fuel system is clean, the engine can burn fuel more completely. That supports smoother running and better mileage.
What do BG engine oil products do?
Engine oil protects moving parts from friction and heat. BG makes two oil products we often talk about with customers:
- BG MOA: an oil supplement made to strengthen engine oil and reduce friction and wear.
- BG EPR Engine Performance Restoration: a cleaner made to free internal engine parts from sludge and deposits.
These products work alongside regular oil and filter changes. They are not a replacement for them.
What about transmission, cooling system and driveline services?
Transmission
Clean, healthy fluid helps a transmission shift smoothly. BG's transmission line includes BG ATC Plus, BG Universal Synthetic ATF and BG Quick Clean for Transmissions.
Cooling system
BG cooling system products and flushes help remove rust, scale and debris from the radiator and cooling passages. A clean cooling system helps the engine hold a steady temperature and lowers the risk of overheating and corrosion. That matters during long, hot summers in Spring, TX.
Differentials and transfer cases
BG Ultra-Guard Differential Fluid is made to protect gears in differentials and transfer cases, which work hard on trucks and SUVs.
